Goal and impact
The purpose of the algorithm is to automate repetitive administrative work of employees in the Participation cluster. RPA deployment reduces workload and gives employees more time for other tasks. Residents and companies are only indirectly affected by the algorithm. RPA ensures that residents and businesses get answers faster. The RPA software runs on an on-premises environment within its own ICT environment and the data of residents and businesses are processed fully encrypted, which ensures privacy.
Considerations
RPA helps us provide timely feedback to residents and businesses. By deploying RPA on repetitive work, less external staff need to be hired, saving (social) costs and increasing our public value.
Human intervention
For each RPA process, there is a process manager. The process manager monitors the robot. When information in the RPA process is incomplete, the respective process fails and has to be processed manually.
Risk management
There are no additional risks compared to manual processes. The risks of errors are reduced in many cases. The process managers do monthly spot checks on the processes performed by RPA. We document these spot checks.

Technical design
Functional: The consultant makes a report of a home visit to a client in the Montr application. This conversation report is linked by the robot (RPA) in the Civision cohabitation application. This saves manual work and reduces the risk of errors.
Technical: We apply RPA this is a software robot that is programmed based on rules. After programming, the RPA robot performs its work, namely the process to be executed, it does this based on predetermined rules. If something is wrong in the process, the robot fails and there is human intervention. The process then has to be processed manually. No AI is used in the algorithm.
