Central Bureau of Statistics

About this organisation

CBS's statutory task is to compile statistics on a wide range of social topics and make the results publicly available. To this end, CBS collects data from individuals and businesses. These collected data are processed into statistics.

In carrying out its tasks, CBS does not use high-risk AI according to the AI regulation and no algorithms with direct impact on data subjects. As such, CBS has no algorithms that need to be included in the register. However, CBS is investigating whether there are algorithms that we would like to register from other considerations. In particular, we are looking at algorithms that indirectly affect individual citizens or companies. These can also be algorithms used for making statistics.
