Goal and impact

Public service

Considerations

By deploying the algorithm, we can deliver more inclusive services via the chatbot. With a classic scripted bot, a high level of Dutch is necessary. Multilingualism is then also an issue. By deploying a language model for this, the bot can much better understand what someone is asking and provide an appropriate answer.

By deploying the algorithm, we can unlock entire websites of data quickly. If we had had to script this, it would have taken hundreds of hours.

Human intervention

We check the answers given for accuracy. Human contact is possible through other channels such as WhatsApp.

Risk management

Limited risks. Only verified information is accessed. We redirect promptly to prevent hallucinations as much as possible.

Data

There is no restriction on the kind of data people can share.

Technical design

Someone asks a question, it is processed by SafeGPT's platform and analysed by a language model on SafeGPT's servers. Using a prebuilt knowledge base and a standard prompt running in the background, a response is formulated and sent.

Version 3.1. has been updated from version 3.0 to be accessible in accordance with WCAG 2.2. This makes the chatbot usable by everyone.
