Responsible use

Goal and impact

The system recognises bicycles in the bike racks.

Several times a day, the system takes photos that it compares. That way, the system sees what the occupancy in the parking is and how long a bicycle has been in the same place.

With this information, we can remove orphaned bicycles if they remain too long.

For deadlines, see general terms and conditions.

Considerations

To know how long a bicycle has been at a particular place in the bicycle shed, we must have an automated system.

This system will also provide evidence through photos with time-date-stamp.

Human intervention

If the system has determined that a bicycle has been in the storage facility for longer than stated in the general conditions, a notification will go to the manager who will check the photos.

If it appears that the bicycle has been there too long, it will be removed.

Risk management

A contract has been concluded between the supplier and the municipality of Amsterdam with various agreements, SLA, DAP, DFA. And other privacy and security agreements in accordance with the terms and conditions of the municipality of Amsterdam.

Operations

Data

The system only uses photos it takes itself.

Technical design

The system takes several photos that it compares to see if a bike has been moved.

  • The discount on interruptible capacity at Gasunie Transport Services (GTS) is set annually in the Gas Tariff Code. This discount is applied to regular tariffs for transport capacity. It is intended as compensation for the risk that GTS may interrupt gas transport if insufficient capacity is available for the contracted quantity.

  • This algorithm is used in prioritising investigations into unreasonable energy supplier tariffs. This framework is related to Detection Methodology Unreasonable Energy Tariffs, found in this algorithm register. The framework helps the ACM determine which conspicuous tariffs (outliers) it wants to investigate further. This allows it to assess whether or not the tariff is reasonable.
