Municipality of Woensdrecht

Woensdrecht municipality is fighting against poverty. Creditors such as health insurers, housing associations and energy companies notify the municipality via an application if a resident is in arrears with payments from the relevant party. The municipality then offers help.

Automated document check and facial comparison for registrations in the BRP, applications for travel documents and driving licences, and for reporting removals (intra-municipal and migrations). The tool checks the authenticity characteristics of identity documents and prevents "look-alike fraud".

Residents and entrepreneurs of Dutch municipalities will have the opportunity to apply for civil affairs products digitally via the municipal website. In doing so, the system performs checks on personal data.

Among other things, the algorithm recognises and anonymises (personal) data and confidential (financial) data in documents before they are published, for example on the basis of the Open Government Act (Woo).

If something needs to be made or cleaned up in the public space, it can be reported to the municipality as a 'Report of Public Space' via Signalen, the open source reporting system for and by municipalities.

To charge fees, customers must specify base types and fee types on the basis of which the fee amount is determined.
