Responsible use

Goal and impact

It provides insight into the wind chill and shade effects at different times of the day.

The simulation platform is a simulation package that allows the living environment to be computed integrally at hyper-resolution for aspects such as flooding, heat stress, air quality and noise. The Heat Module was built according to the guidelines of the Delta Plan for Spatial Adaptation (DPRA).

Considerations

We apply the algorithm as part of a PoC for a study on the standard for transparent decision-making https://geonovum.github.io/logboek-dataverwerkingen-voor-objecten/

Legal basis

This Algorithm is now in a "proof of concept" application, but when taken into production at a municipality or province could be used, for example, for:

* Environment Act: licensing, planning

* AWB (general administrative law act): Monitoring dangerous situations where competent authority takes care of General Principles of Good Governance

- Carefulness

- Transparency

- Proportionate consideration

Operations

Data

By default, these open data sources are used to build the virtual 3D environment in which calculations are performed. It is not always the case that all data sources are used in all calculations, this also depends on the chosen location and type of calculations. Users can also add their own data to the algorithm, e.g. green data, which are not included in this overview.
